Public Academia.
I enjoy engaging in panels, public lectures, and workshops at the intersection of music, culture, and education; anything that explores how culture shapes society.
As a board member of the Music in Africa Foundation, I help steer conversations on the continent’s creative industries, and I’ve contributed to initiatives like Création Africa, which awarded up to €30,000 each to fifteen Ghanaian creatives. A proud moment was delivering the keynote at the Ghana Cultural Forum’s 2023 Symposium – the country’s largest gathering of cultural practitioners – sharing a stage with Ghana’s UNESCO head and the Deputy Minister of Culture.
In April 2025, I was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, presenting a three-part lecture series that used afrobeats and highlife music as pedagogical tools to trace Ghana’s history and politics.
If you’d like to collaborate or book me for an event, please get in touch.
